ABOUT SAYA DISABLED & AUTISTIC SCHOOL

The Ek Shathe Choli (Eshach) established special children school named “Saya Disabled & Autistic School” in 2012 at Mohorkaya in Lalpur Upazila of Natore District of Bangladesh according to the Integrated Special Education Policy-2009 on Disability. It is being run under the Ek Shathe Choli (Eshach) (Reg. No. 306 Nat. Establishment-2001). Ek Shathe Choli (Eshach) .

is an organization for people with disabilities working in Natore District of Bangladesh Since 2023. In the School there are now 291 disabled students enrolled including 180 Neuro Developmental Disabilities (NDD) and 111 Non-NDD students. In this school there are 33 teachers & staff who are engaged in voluntary basis. In 2015, Saya Disabled & Autistic School was recognized as the best school among the specialized educational institutes of the district. 44 decimals of Purchase land are in the name of the institution that has been used for a permanent campus for the school.

VISION

To provide Education, Treatment, Training and Rehabilitation of Disabled persons/children. assist in the rehabilitation of all types of special children, especially NDD children, in the society by completing their education cycle through active participation in all kinds of school-centered activities for schooling and development of a fulfilling life.

MISSION

To Ensure the school life of special children by creating awareness in the families of children with disabilities to ensure the right to education; So that they can build a cohesive society through their daily life activities, vocational education and facilitating the path of higher education especially in the field.

GOAL

To take all possible steps in the three-dimensional correlation of children, infant families and teachers to improve their cognitive, affective and psychomotor skill especially in the daily life activities along with vocational education and exploring their field of higher education life ; So that they can lead to normal life in the society.

Who Dreamed about this school?

Saya Disabled & Autistic School dreamer is a Md. Shemanur Rahman. He established the Mohorkaoy village in Lalpur upazila of Natore district to improve the living standards of the most disadvantaged people in the country. In continuation of this, in 2012, under the foundation, he established “Saya Disabled & Autistic School to establish the right to education of children with disabilities.

What categories of students can be a part of this school?

Saya Disabled & Autistic School is basically an NDD (Autism, CP, ID and Downs) children’s school as per government rules. Those between the ages of 4 to 18 years (especially those with degree of disabilities are eligible for relaxation). However, non-NDD (physical, visual, hearing and speech) children are also studying in the institution. Admission age for non-NDD children is determined by government primary school rules. Rehabilitation centers have the highest opportunity for admission and vocational and life-oriented education up to 35 years (especially the level of disability).
